The "belly button" or umbilicus is the point at which a developing baby inside the mother's womb or uterus is attached to its umbilical cord, which in turn links to the placenta. The placenta lies in close contact with the mother's blood supply and is the principal means by which a developing baby receives nurtition and oxygen and gets rid of waste products.
The answer is YES because we are genetically "programmed" to produce an umbilical cord during our development from fertilised egg (or cloned cells) through foetus to fully developed baby.
This development is likely to take place inside a female womb where it would be essential for the development of the cloned baby but even if in the future the cloned human was developed entirely in some form of giant test tube or artificial womb, the foetus would still grow a placenta and umbilical cord, which are part of the baby, not of the "mother".
Extensive genetic modification would be required to prevent the development of the umbilical cord and as "cloning" means producing genetically identical offspring, then by definition any offspring that have been modified so as not to have an umbilcal cord (and therefore not a "belly button") would not be a clone.

It depends how they make them. At the moment, clones are made by specially creating the egg, then implanting it into a female for them to carry the baby as normal. They will still grow as normal, and have a placenta, so yes, will have a belly button.

If you go for the sci-fi style clone, where they are grown in an artificial tank, then no, not necessarily. This is a wee bit futuristic at the moment though.

Yes.

The word "clone" just means an organism that is genetically identical to another and is derived from it. So if you cloned a human being, it would be a newborn baby - not a fully-grown adult if you've been watching dodgy '70s sci-fi movies.

The belly button (nave) is where the umbilical chord was attached to the mother during gestation.

Of course, while we are at or close to being able to "clone" a human the fertilized egg is then placed inside a host female where it develops in the womb just like any other baby. We are a long way from growing people in vats or something X-Files like that.

if placed into a woman womb for gestation, then yes..if incubated in a lab in tubes like you see in sci fi films then maybe..depends if they have an umbilical cord...in most cases i'd say all clones would have a belly button

Yes, if you watched the movie "The island" you will know that clones will be fed by umbilical cords in big vats, just like in the womb.

human clones will still have a gestation period and be born as infants, they won't be built out of spare parts. so yes, they will have belly buttons.

Yes, unfortunatly. I think belly buttons are disgusting. Today's current trend of showing the belly and the button of those bellys, makes me realize Jesus is coming soon. Wailling and mashing of teeth. Wailling and mashing of teeth.

A bit like in Space: above and Beyond?

Not whilst they are still being implanted in a surrogate host.
