Certain things are allowed to stay secret to the general public, even in the FDA's eyes. That doesn't mean however, that the "original recipe" isn't free of the FDA! It still has to follow certain guidelines set by the FDA and there are only a select number of ingredients that are allowed to be listed as generic "natural flavors" or "spices" And powdered bat urine isn't one of them!

The FDA only requires nutritional information to be on a product if said product makes a claim of being "healthy". For example, Diet Coke is making a claim that it is some way better for you, so the company has to post the nutritional information so you can make an informed decision. KFC makes no claims of any health benefit from eating their food, so they aren't required to make the same disclosure.

Spices, especially Bat Urine does not have any nutritional value, and may be exempt from listing, since it is only a tiny fraction of the overall ingredients.

But in general, it would be awesome if all restaurants helped make America healthy by eliminating Trans-fats from their menu items; or indicated which ones might have Trans-fats. (right on the menu)

Take a good look at the Cancer and Heart Attack death rates. Then just suppose that by eliminating Trans-fats from restaurants, we reduce that figure by just one percent. That would be a huge savings.

Its the same with ALL junk food. If you knew all the ingredients you certainly would never injest it again. You probably get more nutrition from the bags the give you the food in. Actually regular bread contains more than 80 ingredients, but they only ever show you about less than 10 of those on the packaging. So it is not just the junk food. I would rather smoke my chemicals and have a choice. rather than eat and drink my chemicals and have no choice of what i am injesting.

Same thing with the Coke recipe... no one knows what is in "classic" coke that makes it so tasty! I think that when you have a "secret recipe" that is copyrighted/patented (whatever) you're allowed to keep it secret. Although the FDA does know what the secret is, cuz they wouldn't let you have powdered bat urine in your fried chicken (they eat it to ya know!).

What the eye don't see, the heart won't grieve. I like the spices KFC uses, so if they are putting disguesting stuff in it, I don't want to know.

It falls under the category of "natural and artificial flavoring". They are not required to be detailed about that.
