Its under Mombassa city, the place from Halo 2. after Regret made a hyperspace jump in side the earths atmosphere, the gravity caused a burst of eneergy from the covenant carrier's jump drives and destroyed the city. the cheif returns and goes to where Mombassa city was, and thats where the Ark is. I know, I'm a geek

Due to one of the bonus videos on the Halo 2 Special Edition game, a concept idea of the Ark can be seen on a white board in one of Bungie's offices; and due to the Halo 3 trailer, a landscape view from far away of New Mombossa can be seen in the backround past the Ark. So due to the location of New Mombossa the Ark is obviously on Earth in Africa. Hoo-rah!

Earth. You know on the Halo 3 trailer how they show that big..........thing open up, I am guessing that that was built by the forerunners, and that is where the "ark" is located. But that is just a guess. If I am right I will give myself a pat on the back, but if I am wrong I will commit Harry Caray.

Mombassa city. I the halo 3 trailer it showed an unncovered 'forerunner' like installation. If you whatch carefully, just before the bright light is activated, the covenant ships can be seen jumping into hyperspace to evacuate the area, almost like they activated it by accident??
