Would like to illustrate who typically sees a billboard. I understand this data will vary depending on location. Any ideas?

You can get a good idea by checking around the various billboard advertising agencies, and find out what they say about their billboards. You do need to get a large sampling because they will inflate their estimates of the value of their services.

Just remember that the amount of traffic is not the best guage. You can get more views in less traffic if there is a built-in reason for traffic to view it, such a well used traffic light, where people have to stop and look around for three minutes. You will have more "viewing time" than if traffic is spewing past at 65 miles an hour.

Contact the Transport Department (or equivalent agency) of the area you are interested in, they should be able to help. If that is no good, check out any universities that might do such research.
