We are not sure, because she has not taken a pregnancy test yet, which I am going to get today, but we think that my wife is pregnant or possibly pregnant. The thing is that we have been getting mixed signals, or she has at least, from her body. She says that her whole body feels like it does when she is about to start her period, and she has been having cramps for a few days now. We have been married about a month now and she had her last period end just befroe the wedding, June 3. She has not been bleeding any at all, but she has been having cramps like on her period. Breasts have been somewhat sensetive, but that is usual for her near her period. We are a little worried because of timing and things, but still. What do ya'll think? Is she pregnant or not? I know you cannot say for sure, but just your best guess. And please be serious about this, it is REALLY REALLY important.

By the way, according to her, she is 2 weeks late, but the weird thing is that her period always quickly lined up with her room mates' over the past five years and thus she is not really sure on a personal schedule of her own. There was one time taht she has two periods in one month, about 2 weeks apart. Needless to say her period is not exactly very stable. It went all over the place before the wedding, and I know that can be stress, but still, that would change the schedule some too I imagine. I am going to get a test, but we are hoping she is not. Not because we do not want children, but because we do not think that we are ready for a child yet. We are moving in about a month to a month and a half to seminary and still unsure about job and things there, so it would be very hard for us to do things right by a child in raising it. I know God will watch over us and take care of us, but I want to be prepared to a child to enter our lives, not be completely unprepared.

Cramping can happen but usually about the 3rd month due to the uterus stretching. I would take a home test & if it's positive go to an ob ASAP. Pain like that so early on can be due to an etpoic pregnancy. If you don't know it's a fertilized egg that has attached in the fallopian tube. If this is the cause she needs medical attention NOW. MY best friend had this happen 2x. The first one nearly killed her because her tube burst in the middle of the night and she bled 2 liters of blood into her abdomin. I'm sorry and don't want to scare you but my friend just thought she was having bad cramps and she was wrong. I wouldn't want to see anyone go through what she did. She had to have 2 blood transfusions and spent 4 days in the hospital. Good luck to you and your wife.

My friend thought she was having the worst period of her life. When she went to the doctor to get help for it - she found out she was pregnant. So yes it can happen. Why don't you just run to the store and get a pregnancy test. You will know if 5 minutes.

I had period-like cramps all through my first trimester. My doctor told me that was perfectly normal.

I just felt like I was going to start my period but never did.

But she definitely needs to take a pregnancy test to be sure.

Definately possible. Get a test from your grocery store, they are very accurate and most doctors use the same or very similiar tests.
