They sell suede cleaners for shoes in just about any Wal-Mart, Target, etc. They work great! If the shoes are expensive (i.e. my Manolo Blahniks), or still look fairly worn or scuffed, I would take them to a shoe repair shop. They can get out some of the excess scuffs and possibly resole or reheel them. However, sometimes you have to be completely honest w/ yourself (and your beloved shoes), and ask yourself if they are truly beyond repair. You may just have to give in and throw them out. On the upside, you can always treat yourself to a fabulous new pair of suede shoes.

Using a wire brush sometimes fluffs up the suede enough to make it look good. Gets out dirt as well.
