Harry Potter is a fictional character, but the next book is supposed to be the last

J.K. Rowling always intended for there to be only 7 books, one for each year "Harry" is in school. As has been said, the next book, at last word due out 07/07/07, shall be the last.
The movies follow the books, so there shall be 7 of those, as well. The 5th movie, "The Order of the Phoenix", is due out about the same time as the last book - sometime in July of 2007.

i dont know about books but harry potter the movies are going to keep going untell the last book they still have 3 movies left then 4th movie rocks

the 7th book, the next one, is the last one. and the next movie thats coming out is the 5th. the next ones would be the 6th and 7th. and thats it harry potter is through! if you're a fan, dont worry, ill be sad too when it finishs!

Book seven is the last series book, but Jo hasn't ruled out an HP encylopedia or another textbook.
All seven books are scheduled to be made into movies.

yep...there are 7 movies and 7 books...sooo those are the last ones.....the movie we stoped at number 4...now they are making number 5...and the book i think they working on the 7th book which is the last!
