Like I hope I get to see a once non-curable disease totally curable in my lifetime. I think Polio was the last disease cured and I think it's way past time for another.

I would like to see an improvement in literacy. After more than 30 years in the classroom, I am still wondering why Johnny and Jane cannot read. There are more technological advances now. My father had 60 students in his class back in the 20s and 30s;and even the slowest or dunciest could read. They were also taught a trade and became proud craftsmen.Today,students leave school without having mastered the basic skills and with few job survival skills.. I would like to see at least 80% literacy.It would certainly reduce the unemployment rate in some if not all countries. Even if the remaining 20% is semi-literate, they should be able to function -with a reasonable income.

I would like to see the liberals and conservatives stop turning political policy into human character. They are attacking each other as if our political beliefs make us who we are. Is it really worth all the name calling and character assassination?
I would also like to see someone invent a machine that can take images from your head and display them on a screen or music from your head and play them to a recorder. I would be able to pull those beautiful things out of my head and give them to people. I could make music that could heal the soul. I am not talented enough to get that music out or the drawings. If you could only hear what's in my head, everything would be curable. I'm sure it's the same for what's in your head too.
Another thing I would like to see is for someone to finally come up with a defense mechanism for women so that when they are being raped or abused it automatically defends her, but will not set off otherwise. I can't describe the anger I have towards rapists and the empathy I have towards their victims. I've seen the pain in her eyes too many times.

I would like to see a way to reverse pollution and for us to all get along--not just on a national--world-wide--level but, with our neighbors--People need to learn to respect one another---meet in the middle compromise--WOW thats a lot, but, I really would like all of these things and more to happen--Universal Health Care etc====sorry just couldn't choose one---but I won't bore you with them all..

I agree with you. I would love to see either a cure or vaccination for cancer. I lost my grandma to cancer last year and it has been really hard for the whole family.
