It's more important to sit here all day and answer questions than it is to iron sheets.

no, but years ago that used to be done.
probably before there were clothes dryers when you hung the sheets outside? also the fabric was different then.
When percale sheets were invented (i think) most people stopped ironing them. Don't assume the world has not changed. People who ironed sheets 70 years ago were not stupid. Conditions were different.

I do but only de top edge of the flat sheet, and if it wasn't for the decorations on that area which get ugly when not ironed, otherwise, I wouldn't even bother with it. One thing is for sure though, from now on i'll be buying plain, plain sheets.

Do you think I have time for that. Only maids iron sheets. Unfortunatly I don't have a maid but a sheet of dryer fabric softener works just fine.

No, I have the cotton jersey kind so they don't need to be ironed. If you take most sheets out of the dryer right away and fold them you sould never have to iron them at all.

when I was young, I had a friend and her mother made her iron the sheets and towels. What a waste of ones life. I'll bet she doesn't do it now.

I iron antique sheets because they were not made of wrinkle free fabric and because it makes the embroidered designs look nicer for my guests.

No. I don't mind a few wrinkles. Honestly, I don't even have time to iron my clothing!

I have before.....but only once or twice. It makes your bed feel clean and crisp, but after you sleep in the bed once, it's gone. Unless you iron them every time you wash them, they won't hold the crispness.....I think fabric softener destroys their ability to hold it as well.
