A good friend of mine is turning 21 in less than a month, and he wants to have a party somewhere that has good drinks and music, but not necessarily a club (I don't think he wants 100s of people with loud music).
Anywhere in the LA/OC area would be good. Classy, fun, 21-and-over would be fine. The party would be 20 people or less.
Any ideas?

The Saddle Ranch is cool for the younger crowd. It's got a mechanical bull if you're feeling frisky.
Bar Marmont is way more classy and nice.
I'd recommend a bar near the birthday boy's residence, whereever that might be. It would be terrible for him to get a DUI on his first night of legal drinking.

Dave & Buster's is great! It's fun, has liquor & food and lots of stuff to do like play pool & video games. There's one in Orange at I-5 & Hwy 22.

I did so many things to celebrate my 21st birthday:
-family get together/party
-shopping with girlfriends
-dinning with friends
-clubbing with friends

If you like to spend your b-day with a lot of friends it's a good option the beach or the pool, with a dinner or something like that.
If you want to spend it only with your family you can go to a restaurant.

Dave and Busters is a good choice....they have good food, cold beer and mixed drinks that arent too expensive, and lots of fun games. Have fun!!!

beach is great, ppl can bring their own food or dirk and just have fun... you can also have music and dance there ...
