Call someone who knows that they are doing. It's really easy if you know how to do it. I mess up my computer all the time, lucky for me my husband went to school for computers. So he use to fix it for me. But I mess it up so much he got sick of it. So now he makes me do it myself. If I can learn how to so can you but you need someone to show you the first few times. Also don't forget to SAVE EVERYTHING before you do it!

If you do this, you will completely erase everything. I recommend you do a backup of all the files you wish to keep. After you backup your data, find the Dell Restore CD and put in the CD ROM drive. Reboot your computer and select F12. Select to boot from CDRom drive. this will reinstall your Operating system, just follow the steps. Your tower will have cd key so make sure u noted it down. There will also be another cd that shipped with your dell. Might be called applications. Insert that after the operating system has completed and install what you want. Good luck.

If you're running Windows XP on your computer:
You can go to Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - System Restore and run the restore utility to the earliest possible restore point saved on your computer.

If you received a Restore Disc from Dell with your computer:
You can run the restore utility on this disc to take you back to the configuration you had the day you purchased it.

Be warned, you will need to reinstall any software you've put on your system since you've bought it, and using a restore disc means you can lose personal files, documents, e-mails, etc. Be sure you've created a backup of all important files and documents on your computer before you do either of these steps.

Reinstall Windows (if you want to keep your files, choose the repair mode when reinstalling or else it'll erase everything)

Also, if you had your computer for less than 3 months, I think you can also do system restore but once again that will keep all your personal files such as word documents, etc. but it should restore all your programs to original state

Do a Disk Cleanup followed by a Disk Defrag. All of these apps can be found in your System Tools group.
