My husband and I are both cat people all the way. There just so much less work and you still get all the lovin'. I guess it depends more on the people and what sacrifices they are willing to make. Dogs take more patience and time. So maybe its not so much a male/female thing , as much as an overall personal preference.

Men like dogs becuase they are generally larger and they are hard working animals. They protect people and goof around and roll around in mud and bark loudly, etc. Dogs are masculine, even the females. They do more masculine things. Cats are more feminine in the way they move and act. They clean all of the time and don't like being dirty. They are softer and generally quieter. They are usually smaller, and have tiny thin bodies. Theses are all of course sterotypes, but you question was one big one so there you go...

Well now I don't really agree with that statement at all. I know some guys who have cats (although not many I'll grant.) and I love dogs. So there!

i believe that the reason females tend to like cats more is because cats are prissy, clean, and dainty, everything we like to be. And guys like dogs because they more fun to play with and more the more masculine animal, in that they will play ball with you, they don't care to be dirty, and they are much louder, just like a man.

Not a clue! I don't like cats at all. They stink, they are not personable, and their mouths are so filthy that one bite can send you to the emergency room.

because dogs are more of a manly animal. they fight and kill and drool and sometimes stink. typical man. women like beutiful quiet loving things.
