i paid them many years when in the work force as an RN....i became permanently disabled in 1995....now i draw the disability i had put into FICA all those years....though i resented it at the time, i'm well thankful for having had to pay taxes now.

I don't mind. It's not that bad in Florida, if I lived in NY, that would be another story.
