Specifically, ask for the job.

When the formalities have finished, and they ask if you have any questions, ask a couple of Good questions about the company or the bosses expectations then go for the "sale".

1. "If you were making the decision right now, would I get the job?" If the answer is yes, politely conclude and get out of there before you screw anything up.
If no or maybe, then ask:
2. "What reservations do you have about offering me this job?" (and then address any concerns they might have)

They probably have other people to see, but that exercise makes you the frontrunner in the interviewers mind. They will measure everyone else against you, instead of the other way around.

Ability to communicate work history in a way that is applicable to the position that is available for the employer where you are interviewing while using good grammar, extensive vocabulary and positive body language. It is definitely an ART that employer's ALL relate to in a positive way. Learning to do this will land you the job because you will be head and shoulders above anyone else that is interviewed. Even though you didn't ask, the second thing is the quality of your attire.

Well I cant say that I've landed every job that I went after, but the one thing that I know helped make an impression, is my vocabulary and my ability to speak clearly and concisely.

In fact, a job that I was interviewing for, turned out to be something other then what I thought it was, and after I explained my reasons for no longer wanting the job to the interviewer, he gave me the number for another job interview that turned out to be just what I was looking for.

When they ask me if I want to know what their expectations are of me I tell them that it doesn't matter because my own expectations and goals for myself will exceed theirs anyway.
