I've only ever had a pap smear as part of my annual appointment with the gynecologist, so the questions weren't so much focused right before and after the pap as they were towards the beginning of the exam.
The other posters have pretty much covered the questions that I can think of - when was your last period? Do you have any problems / pain / questions about your period? Are you sexually active? What kind of birth control do you use? What meds are you on? What other conditions do you have? Is there a history of [fill in the blank] in your family? Do you have any questions about anything at all? (reguarding the visit, obviously)
Whatever your doctor asks, please answer honestly and as completely as possible. And if you have any questions or concerns about anything, don't hesitate to bring up those issues. Believe me, they've heard it all.
