Best Ever - Opeth (look them up. they ROCK), U2, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Rage Against the Machine, and Stone Temple Pilots.
Worst Ever - Good Charlotte and all bands in that style.

Best rock band ever.. it has to be U2. I've never really been huge into them, but they've stood the test of time.
Worst band... uhm.. i'd say good charlotte. Their music pains my ears.

The worst band.. okay I don't really want to condemn any bands but I really dislike GreenDay and System of a Down.. no no FALLOUTBOY is the worst band to me.
And my favorite band is Lacuna Coil. =)

Worst : AC/DC-they epitomize all the bad stereotypes of rock three-chord songs, obnoxious voice, sex, drugs...
