At one school I attended, college hour was an hour once a week where nothing was scheduled and that was the time the president usually would hold a student forum or some other campus wide event.

The other poster is also correct--college hour can refer to what is also called a credit or a unit. 3 credits = 3 hours, etc.

in college you get your degree from how many hours you complete. most classes are 3 hours and others night be 1-2-4-5. it just depends on the length of the class per week. most classes for for an hour 3 times a week or an hour and 15 min twice a week. = a 3 credit hour class. you usually will take between 12-18 hours a semester, sophomore status is over 30 hrs, juniors over 60 and so on. ask ur school advisor, she can help u more with this. good luck
