If so How? (home business, employer, gambleing)

Yes. We own several online stores that do quite well. I only have to work part time now and my fiance' stays home. We have a comfortable life style, not quite where we want to be, but on the right track. Working online is wonderful. Don't be fooled though, it's a lot of hard work and is more of a commitment than a simple 40 hour a week job that you leave and go home. With a home based business, you are always at work.
