I was doing laundry and I accidently washed my phone. What do i do!! It was dead when it came out, so i put it on the charger and turned it on and it worked fine, the screen was a little wet but it was working. I let it sit for a few minuted and when I came back it was totally fuzzy and i took out the battery and blew on it and everything, but it still wont turn on! Is it a hopeless chance that it will work!! Can i fix it??! Please help!

Try with the blower and wait a little bit. If not, take the SIM card to a store for a replacement cell phone. The information you have in the SIM card is still there.

I'v done similar to my phone. What I did, was let it dry off for a couple days, and then it accualy worked fine for me. Many phones have ways to tell if there was water damage done to it, which voids the warenty, so lying is sort of out of the picture. My best advice, you could take it to a cell phone store (a smaller one, not a t-mobile or verizion retail store) and ask them if they can fix it. Find one that has a sort of geeky guy working, see if he can do anything about it. I hope it works out. If your desperate you can search the internet for ways to fix ur wet whole. You could ask here:

I had this happen. Sweetie, I think it's shot. I think you might better try looking for another phone. Even if this one phone seems to start working, don't trust it. When I did it malfunctioned, so I would just wait and see, but if it doesn't turn on for a while (we're talking like a few days) then take it to get it repaired, if they can't do it, then since you're already at the phone place, get another one! It'll be fine, I think, sweetie. Don't worry. It's just a phone! Remember that!

Take the battery out immediately and put them over a heater to dry over the night. If you don't have a heater blow dry them both for a couple of hours. Don't turn your phone on for at least another day.

Even if the phone works now, liquid damage corrodes a phone to the point of destroying it... it is just a matter of time before it dies completely.. Good Luck!

nope not at all, maybe if you would have caught it when you first started the wash yeah maybe but not now.

I did that one time but I dropped mine in the toilet and immediately grabbed it out and put it under one of those blowers that dry your hands off. Amazingly it still worked after that.

Good luck!

i think it'll be ok, just turn it off and keep it off and let it dry out completely for the rest of the day... mine got soaked on a ride at six flags one time... and i did all that... and it ended up being just fine
