There are as many ways as there are people in it. There are simple guidelines, however, that can be helpful:
Almost everyone believes they understand the world; attempting to share knowledge that no one asked for will almost always fail.
People have a difficult time perceiving the world except as it applies to them. Thusly, they believe that doing good for themselves and those they care for is the same as doing good for everyone.
Most people believe that thinking about themselves constantly is introspection, and not self-absorbtion.
Many people will hurt you, few will intend to, but the outcome is the same. Forgiveness goes a long way.
You will hurt people far more often than you intend, but the outcome is the same. Sincere apologies go a long way.
Love hurts- even at its very best, there will eventually be loss. Many believe it's worth it anyway.
Pain is nothing to fear- it simply lets you know that something is wrong.
People who are calm in tense situations are more dangerous than people who visibly flip out. Try to be one of them.
Most people want to be led. If you tell them what to do in a way that makes sense to them, they'll often follow your instructions and return for more without questioning your authority.
The best times in life, where ever you go, are found with friends and loved ones, and usually good food is somehow involved.
The best way to get away with something, is to not act like you're doing something wrong- that will only draw attention. Instead, act like you're doing something right.
For all their similarities, people are best treated as individuals. They'll respond better if you can learn their names.
When you have a problem with everyone around you, it may be your problem and not theirs.
It's not usually a good idea to trust anyone who tells you to.

usually refers to harsh or unpretty facts...
like the fact that men will pay women for sex or
the fact you have to work for a living or
the fact that money buys a lot of things maybe it shouldn't or
the fact that things that sound too good to be true are not true
(like work from home and make $200K/yr is not true)
Usually means harsh realities that grown-ups have to know about.
