Is it true that sometimes doctors give girls birth control pills to make them get their periods if it is real irregular?Someone told me it was true.

Yes, it's quite true. I started taking them when I was 11 because my cycle was very irregular. Unfortunately, I've been on them ever since (16 years) because my body never fixed itself. I have taken many different brands (different hormones and doses) over the years, resulting in substantial weight gains and other physiological disorders. I wish my mother had never started me on them in the first place, though I know it was just concern on her part.

Yes this is true. I went on the pill for this reason and it works, i have the pill for 21days and then have 7 pill free days thats when my period falls. Also if you dont want a period for a month (eg, going on holiday and its inconvenient) you can carry on taking the pill.

Yes. I had to take birth control pills when I was around fourteen in order to start having regular menstrual cycles (periods). Usually, you take them for several months, till you start having a regular cycle, then they take you off the pill.

yes. that is why when people take birth control pills, theey have short periods or some months they don't even have periods because the only way you can have a baby is if you have your period because that is the only way your eggs come out.

I dont think that is true they usually give birth control pills to prevent PG

yes and it works! With the pills you'll start your period the same day and in a similar hour every 28 day, it's great!

Yes that is very true. My Dr did that for me when I was 16. It helps straighten out your hormons. Hope this helps.
