My rabbit (6 years old) keeps making these indigestion noises, which are making me concerned. I saw him eating part of a metal twist (you know, for like tying up baggies or something), so I think that may be affecting him. However, I took away those twists, and yet the noises in his stomach persist. I don't have the money to take him to the vet, so what should I do?

I think that you should ignore the majority of these answers. The bottom line is that only an experienced rabbit veterinarian can treat a sick rabbit. You need to find a way to make this work.
If you don't have the money yourself, try to get a loan from friends or family. Also, many veterinarians are willing to work on payment plans. Your local animal shelter or humane society may be able to help. Some run subsidized vet clinics. You can also check with your local House Rabbit Society chapter for help.

Contact your local humane society. If that doesnt work try your pet store .My rabbit got sick the same way from a change in diet. The vet said it caused an infection in her stomach. That was also 20 yrs ago.I am sure if you bring her to a local pet store who has bunnies for sale , they may have a remedy you can purchase there or do at home.
Good luck

Rabbit stow!!! He'll cry when he senses you are about to kill him, but he will be tasty. I am not lying about the crying part. All rabbits make a baby crying noise right before they are killed. Sorry, but there is not much you can do for him. he is 6 year old,, it's time for him to go. Rabbit stow would be the best way. Plus you should never have a pet if you can not afford the maintenance of it.

im pretty sure that those twists had to do with it. those were very bad for his stomach. dont worry he'll get better. you better raise enough money or borrow money from a friend to take him to a vet. if you are that concerned, you really need to take him there. i dont know if those noises are natural, but good luck!

If you do take him to the vet don't become outraged if they can't take care of it - many vets don't have the training to help "pocket pets" like rabbits, hamsters or guinea pigs (luckily, mine did). You can always call around to other vets to see if they treat rabbits and if they do ask how much it costs and see if you can afford it.
Good luck with your bunny!

Just watch him. He is a very old rabbit. So it may just be his time to go.
I know you said you didn't have enough money to go to the vet, but that probably is the best way to save him.

Try giving him lots and lots of lettuce. My dog used to have the same problem and I couldn't take him to the vet for financial reasons so I just changed his diet and gave him only healthy food. He was back on his feet in no time

I'm sorry, but a vet is the only option. If he ingested the twist and it doesn't come out on it's own, it will probably have to be removed surgically.

Go on for a few more weeks and if he doesn't get better then you might have to kill him.It will be very hard but he will not be in any sort of pain.Maybe try a new rabbit food 2.
