After you take a bath/shower at night.... Put pure Vitamin E on them.... Massage it into your nails for like a minute. Then let it soak in for about 15 minutes. Then just go to bed. Trust me mine use to be the same way and now they are beautiful and long and thick. It is what my Grandma and Mother has done for years and years.... After a few weeks you will notice a change. GOOD LUCK!

I agree with the jello, but it needs to be Knox gelatin, not regular Jello. You can mix a packet of it into juice and it takes about 3-4 weeks before you notice results. (You have to drink it every other day, too).

But, another great product is this stuff made by OPI called Nail Envy. It's like a basecoat, so you wear it under polish or by itself. It's kind of expensive, but it really made a difference and my nails were thin like paper. I won't leave the house without it now!

Look for a nail strengthener/hardner. Sally Hansen makes some good ones. There is one that contains acryic, so it protects your nails. You can get this from the drug store. They usually run $3.99-$5.99. Also, healthy nails start from the inside out, so eating well and getting enough of the right vitamins helps too!

there are some special kinds of nail polishes that dont add any color to your nails, but they do make your nails stronger. also eat and drink a lot of calcium which helps your nails be stronger and helps make them break off less often. and your other option is to not grow out your nails too long. just grow them out to a certain point but so that they dont break
good luck!

If you put nail polish on them on a regular basis it protects the nails. There is also a protein you can paint on your nails. It doesn't leave a finish like nail polishI don't remember what it is called. Horse trainers put it on the hooves of horses and they found their nails got strong so it is now sold for people. If you do a search for nail strengthener you can probably find several brands of it.

Prenatal vitamins. Trust me. You can get them over the counter at any drug store (cvs, walgreens, eckards).

I'm on them b/c I'm trying to concieve. My nails have become amazingly strong. I told my friend to try them and now her nails look great too!

Prenatals contain high amounts of calcium and other vitamins that are important for healthy nails, hair and skin.

Good Luck!

There are actually vitamins specifically to boost your caritin (what your hair and nails are made of production)

http://www.naturallydirect.net/hair-and-nail-vitamins.htm is one example. You can probably find something like this online, at a local vitamin shop or possibly even at a place like G.N.C.

There are certain nail polishes that make your nails stronger. Try Rite Aid, or Sav On, or any drug store - they're bound to have it.

moisturize your hands at nigh and frequently throughout the day. Washing your hands during the day removes the oils and dries the nails out.
