Well, for your first month you should use condoms along with the pill, since you say you did you should be fine. And as far as your period goes, you can get it any day during the last week of pills, so dont freak out if you dont get it yet, I would be worried though if you start your next month of pills and you still dont get your period.

There is a long list of questions that need to be answered before we can help you efficiently.
Have you been taking the pill properly (at the same time every day)? Have you been taking the correct pills in the correct sequence? Have you been on birth control before?
If you have been taking the pill properly it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant. It is possible, but improbable. Often when your period is irregular and you are on birth control for the first time, or after a long stint without it, your period will be irregular for the first couple of months. It is also likely that when it comes it will be far lighter or far heavier than you are accustomed to. It is also not unusual for a woman to experience heavier or lesser cramps with her cycle. This is all due to the unaccustomed hormones that your body is receiving with the pill.
If you were only supposed to get your period today I wouldn't start to worry yet. In a week or so, if you still haven't gotten your period, I would take a home pregnancy test or two. If they come back negative test again in a few days. If the tests are still negative contact your physician. You could either be pregnant or having a bad reaction to your birth control. Either way, in this scenario contact a doctor as soon as you can.

to be sure you should take a test...and it does not take two full cycles for all birth control to work...you need to read the insert that comes with your birth control they will tell you exactly how long until it is effective(most of the time it is 3-4 weeks). more than likely you arent pregnant....you used birth control and condoms...your cycle may go through some changes being you just started the birth control not too long ago...it sometimes takes up to 3 full cycles for your period to be normal again after starting birth control....but wait another week and then by a home test just to rest your mind........good luck!

The contraceptive pill has an effciency very close to 100%. On the rare occasions that women get pregnant while on the contraceptive, they are on antibiotics or other types of medication that lower the pill's efficiency. If you used a condom there shouldn't be a problem, even very regular women are sometimes weeks late due to stress, depression, poor nutrition etc. I would suggest you bought a home pregnancy test and put your mind at ease.

My Doctor told me that bc pills are not really at there full effect until you have taken them at least a month. Any antibiotics taken with effect the effectiveness of the pill. Take a pregnancy test. Remember how scared you are right now when you go to have sex again.

I think you are fine, the more you freak out and stress about it it can make your period come even later. it doesn't always come on the exact same day even when you're on birth control. i would just relax and not worry maybe if it doens't come in like a week then you should take a test. but don't worry be happy!!!

I don't know anyone who gets their period on the exact day they're supposed to...I usually am surprised 3-1 days before or it's a few days late. Take a pregnancy test and until then, don't drink alcohol or smoke.
