can you deconstruct this taboo looking deep inside you and aksing yourself if this unnatural situation sanctioned by law and culture makes people really happier and why we did not need that for ages before?

I think you all may be misunderstanding the question. I think what they are asking is why do we see sex with teens as a bad thing? Why are men tha are atrracted to teenagers seen as sickos?
I have wondered this as well. Other societies do not feel this way. One perspective that justifies it is this. When I first developed a physical attraction to females i was in my early teens and when I first had sex, I was in my late teens. That seemed to program my particular taste in females. This is supported by the fact that magazines such as Playboy put models in that are between 18 and 24 typically. Those became the women I adored. This is analogous to the fact that I began liking fast cars as a late teen. Ferraris, Corvettes, etc. That was what caught my attention and what I wanted to drive. Now, much later in life I still find women between 18 and 24 absolutely perfect, but am no longer allowed to pursue them. It hardly seems fair. Would anyone say I was too old to drive a Ferrari? I think not, so why can't I still be attracted to young women? What a person likes is what they like. It can't be helped. I like ice cream from the Ice Cream man. Is that wrong? I liked it when I was young and I still do. Granted, I may decide after getting to know someone younger that I don't feel an emotional attraction or that we have nothing in common, but then again, it may be a purely physical thing. Why shouldn't I be able to participate? No if you want to talk about under age females, that's a whole different thing. You are talking about children that cannot reason or make an educated decision about sex. NO ONE should go there. You will mess these poor kids up for LIFE.

Well in a way is a modern societal hypocrisy. The reason is that no parent want to have their child having sex, plain and simple. According to the law, it is punishable because teenagers due to their state (hormones raging and all) can't make a sound decision therefore adults take advantage of them thru seduction.
Apart from that, there is no reason why two sexually mature people can not have consensual sex. Thru out history people married girls off pretty much after they'd reached puberty. The underage sex and the infantile life of children (I'm talking about the sheltered fairy tale world) are a late 20th century concepts.

some girls are too young and dumb to understand the responsibility of sex. some older men might see girls as objects and use them for sex knowing they don't have to support them and woo them because they still live with mom and dad. On the other hand, there might be actual love and dedication between a couple with an older man and younger woman. I think the law should stay as is, but the couples in true love should be taken in front of a judge and have allowance to date without interference of the law. But some families are understanding. I think the law prevents alot of older men taking advantage of girls for fear of prison. Its not such a bad thing.

If a MAN (25 or older) is getting with someone under the age of 18 he should be ashamed of himself. I feel the law stepped in because men didnt know when to draw the line. I dont care how you "feel" about someone, if having a relationship with them is wrong...then its just wrong. But we live in a world where people want to do what they want - when they want - and this is what happens when it gets out of control.

A grown man ought to be able to get sex from "women" and must be very desparate if he's sleeping with "girls".....
