Clip the tips (length) down as far as you need. Get some pure acetone from any store that sells regular polish remover. Take some aluminum foil cut into squares, and some cotton balls.
Wet the cotton ball with acetone, lay it on the nail and cover with the foil, as tight as possible. Repeat all 10 nails or one hand at a time. Do not peek or open the foil for at least 20 minutes, then one at a time, remove the foils and with a wood pusher - orange wood stick- scrape the acrylic off.. it should come right off.. you can repeat if some traces are left. If you peek, the acrylic will start to harden immediately, so it's best to be patient :)
When you get it all off make sure you give your self a healthy dose of some good hand cream as the acetone is very drying to the surrounding skin.

No, you'll have to use a bottle of "Acetone." Just pour some in a bowl, and soak your nails. It may take about 30-45 min at the most. The "Acetone" dissolves the acrylic and the nail tips. I'm actually going to stop by the store today and pick me up a bottle. It's about time for these little buggers to come off. You can find the "Acetone" at any store:

-Target
-Beauty Supply Store

It will begin to disolve the nales if you use acetone remover. If you want to take them off though you can buy acryllic nail remover kits in the nail-polish-remover section or a store.

acrylic nails are hard to get off yourself. finger nail polish remover wont work that well, but if you get pure acetone and soke your nails in it for a long time it will kind of work. it might hurt though and its going to take a really long time. i would just pay the money and have them takin off.

No. Polish remover with acetone will cause them to be brittle and porous (which can cause a fungal infection). If you are trying to remove them, pure acetone will, but trust me, pay the $10 and have them taken off professionally.

i think you have to get the "non-acetone" remover. that will remove the polish, but won't harm the acrylic nail.

Acetone will take them off. Ethyl acetate isn't supposed to harm them.

100% ACETONE, GET IT AT THE BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE. JUST POUR SOME IN A GLASS OR CERAMIC BOWL AND LET YOUR FINGERS SOAK IN IT UNTILTHEY DISOLVE

yeah what your going to need to do is let your fingers soak in it a while. the best thing to do usually is let the manicurist take them off for you. it's alot less work
