why do people see things to make them felt bad and look to the other side?

this is just one of my queery that so far i can seems to accept that others are really not truthful to deal on a certain situation when it comes to the decissions if they could do something for their good dear life and feel the reality of that situation good or bad..!
But doing a random ACT of KINDNESS to any one any time on anyday ,surely will experience the truth of reality .
