Does anyone know why they made Willow gay anyways?

Half there with you.

I must say, I adored Tara. She brought so much to Willow. She made Willow into such a strong and solid person. She helped so much. She was a breath of constant kindness in the group too. Which, is something they really needed. I think her kindness is what I like most about her.

While I did like Oz, I think Tara was much more important for Willow. She had many things she still needed to discover about herself, and not only the gay thing, and Tara helped her with them. I was also glad they introduced someone so shy and timid into the group. I myself am very much like that, and know others who are as well. I just think that Willow and Tara's love was so strong that it is hard not to love them together. They really brought out the best in each other. And the happiness that they gave one another was also an important thing.

As for Dawn, cannot stand her. I adore when Willow confronts her and calls her out on how much she whines in "Two To Go." "Mom, Buffy, Tara, WAAAA!" She should have made her back to a little energy ball. I never really embraced the whole Buffy suddenly having a sister. I started watching since day 1, so I was sitting confused for a few weeks.

I don't think many people in fact did like Dawn. She wasn't really one of them. I appreciated Buffy's "bond" with her, but never liked it.

I thought Kennedy should have left the show real quick. Could NOT stand her.

As for staying, I would have liked Dru to have stayed on for more. She was a great character. I loved the craziness she had.

I didn't really like Dawn or Tara either. The producers did a decent job of folding Tara into the story, and Michelle Tractenberg is a fine actress, but they were messing with a formula that had worked really well for a long time.

As far as Tara, I couldn't stand her. She was a stammering idiot and Amber Benson gave a really wooden performance as Tara. And why the heck did they have to make Willow a lesbian? Every damn witch on TV and film seems to be a lesbian. What would've been so wrong with keeping her straight? Why did they have to become so cliche where witches being lesbians are concerned?

I would've loved to see Oz stay on the show.

I think with the changing audited tower the show and the actors that played the role, the staff handled it all very well. Seth Green left to do movies as did many other actors. David got his own show and the story plot fin in well with the chaining climate of the world. I think it was a good move to make Willow gay and tern Annunka back to a demon. But that's me.
