Well, I never knew he was leaving. . . .maybe you're getting him confused with the other guy that's retiring- Carlos. . . . .I used to get them a bit mixed up, but no, carlos is shorter. . . .. but I was guessing that this is probably Ronaldo's last world cup becuase everyone's saying that he's out of shape, and etc. Plus, he's reaching his 30's, and he's not like Zinadine Zidane, who's really fit. . . .so yeah, I'm guessing he is going to retire, but it sucks. . . he's done the team well.

old? there are loads of other players who are older than him, the critic that he's been getting that he's getting too fat is also ridiculous, he still has the skills and when he gets the ball he knows what to o with it to make a goal. Maybe he's just tired of everyone giving critic on him? That I can perfectly relate to.
