THE RING IS KINDA HEAVY AND i JUST LOST IT TODAY. DOES ANYONE KNOW ANY TIPS THAT MIGHT HELP?

Best thing would probably be a metal detector.
Might find some other things you weren't looking for while you're at it.
Radioshack sells them for about $20 for a small one... doesn't see things under the ground too far, but since your ring's on top, it should find it easily.
Either that, or bring a little kid out there. Little kids can find anything.

Get some worms or grubs that eat grass, and let them loose on your lawn, in the area where you think you lost it. In a little bit, the grass will be gone and the ring will be sitting there.

I would try a metal detector, or try raking the area with a plastic rake (as to not damage the ring).

metal detector would definitely work...
Otherwise, I suppose you will have to do alot of walking around in that area maybe with something to rake up the grass a little.
