I've noticed alot in commercials and tv, you will see a beautiful woman with a chubby bald not so handsome husband, but i've never seen a beautiful man with a chubby plain looking woman. I've noticed this in real life too. Is it more acceptable for an unattractive man to date a beautiful woman. What do you think?

Women are just more beautiful than men are handsome -- so we don't really have a choice!. (haha)

I think some women don't put so much emphasis on what is on the outside, but what is on the inside of a person. As the old saying goes, don't judge a book by it's cover. I can't explain why you never see an attractive man with a chubby plain looking woman. I guess those men are more vain and care what other people think about them and who they are seen with.

This is not always true. I have seen a few very attractive men with very plain, chubby women. As you said, though, this is much more rare. It's probably due to the fact that women tend to look at personality more than men do. I'm sure, however, that most men care about more than looks, and aren't COMPLETELY shallow.

I think women really do look more inside the man then men look inside a woman. I have noticed terribly hideous women with really attractive men...but only a rare few times. I actually knew a guy who was so beautiful, and he never hit on me once, because he liked bigger women. But I do think women look more into the man's heart, and can look past the outside, where as men, a lot of times, look at women like prizes, or arm candy...they like their women like their cars: flashy, new, young, and beautiful!

Not more "acceptable" just more common. It is not uncommon for women factor in a man's wealth into his "appeal" as a provider/husband. Think Donald Trump here...

Men are much more "visually" programmed sexually so a woman is typically found by a man to be "attractive" physically even so far as having "fetishes" for female body parts (boob man, leg man)

I have known plenty of men who do not care for the "maintenance" required, in their minds, of a "pretty" or "sexy" woman.

I see that everywhere. It could have to do with ego's, or it could be that there are a lot more women than men out there, and I think that women settle for less when it comes to appearances. I guess I got lucky, my husband is the better looking one.

Unfortunately, men are "more valuable" in our society. One of our old friends, now 280 pounds, was making jokes about my "fat" sister.......... who's really a size 12!! On the other hand, follow the money trail, and it doesn't matter if he's fat/short/bald or what. Have you ever seen women go out with fat/short/bald waiters? No. Only the gorgeous ones!

Could be there are just too few really good looking, hairsuited, rich men like me to go around to ALL THE BEAUTIFUL LADIES IN THIS WORLD!
