well, not a lot of people would donate a real gucci bag to a thrift store though there are a few tricks.
1. If there are registered symbols (R) inside the purse, then its real.
2. If the leather is soft and looks like good quality (you can tell if its soft or just worn)
3. If the threads on th eoutside are frayed, then it is fake since gucci has suberb craftmanship and wouldnt leave a bag with unstitched threads get into the market.

Look at the label. That's usually the easiest way to tell. I've never heard of a website though.

Take it to a Gucci shop. They will soon tell you if it is genuine and what the tell-tale signs are.

It could be real...............What does it look like...does it have a number in it? Or even a card would come with it.....
