Edison invtented the type of light bulb that we know of
there were other types that are more difficult to make

Swan did ... but Edison got the Patten on it....Me thinks swan a bit slow ..!! :)

They both invented something very similar at almost the same time. You could argue for weeks about which was the 'real' lightbulb but for all practical purposes it was a draw.
