Consider Rex grossman playing a full season, Brett Favre on the decline, Vikings new coaching staff, and the lions always tend to faze out as the season goes on

Chicago will take the NFC North

Offense: Grossman's durability is under question, so the team picks up Brian Griese as a backup. With either QB taking snaps, this bodes extremely well for the WR corp, looking to give Muhsin a revival and players like Mark Bradley, Airese Currie, and Bernard Berrian a chance to shine. Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson both have the talent to vamp the Bears' rush offense to its second consecutive 1000+ season. In fact, Jones could hold off Benson for the starting position and show why he should be considered a feared RB. Benson will still get his carries in as well as Adrain Peterson, who provides a change of pace necessary for these two runners. During the off season, they have worked hard on bulking their offense up to match their defensive efforts. And as for those dumping on Orton, where were all the naysayers when he was winning games (8 in a row, which I believe was better than any other starting rookie QB except Ben Roethlisberger in 2004)? Chicago finally has a deep and solid QB corps, which should take some stress off of this unit.

Defense: All starters are returning plus they added Ricky Manning Jr. from Carolina and used the draft to iron out some wrinkles for their secondary. Urlacher, Briggs, and Hillenmeyer will lock down the middle of the field, while Alex Brown, Ogunleye, Harris, and Scott will lock down the front line. Vasher and Tillman will definitely benefit from the recent additions, but they will show opposing offenses that their presence should never be taken lightly. Defensively, they are even hungrier and nastier than before, especially after the 29-21 playoff loss ... they want revenge.

Special Teams: Alex Bannister has left the Seahawks and is now a Bear. Bannister bolsters what many consider to be the weakest link on this team. Berrian and Davis now have Hester added to their ranks, which makes this part more dangerous.

Overall: Chicago will take the NFC North without much of a problem. For the "experts" that continue to deny the respect that the Bears deserve, watch what happens ... and hope that not too many of the opposing teams' players are carted off the field.

The Lions will NOT win the NFC North. New QB Josh McCown doesn't have the potential of Joey Harrington, and I'll believe the Lions have an improved offensive line that can help its QB and HB when I see it. Draft acquisitions were mediocre at best, and the Lions competed for worst recieving core in the nation last year, concerning drops. No coach can win big with this team.
The Packers will be rejuvenated with the return of Ahman Green, and Favre will do anything to win, even if it means agressive play that results in INT's and criticism. He is still the man you want throwing the ball.
Brad Johnson demonstrated competence last season, turning the team around by decreasing the amount of turnovers that Culpepper had been giving up. The Vikings have the most momentum going into next season, despite a slow start.
The Packers and Vikings will compete for 2nd and 3rd next season. The Bears will win the division with brutal defense.

I think this is the only division in football besides the afc south that has a clear frontrunner. Its obviously going to be the Chicago Bears. They won it last year and are returning every single starter. They also added depth to their secondary and added a good backup qb if grossman goes down. Every other team in the division has new rookie coaches. The Lions have a new quarterback and a bad defense and problematic receivers. The Vikings have no offense what offense whatsoever. Brad Johnson at qb? no real running back or receivers. The Pac are in bad shape too. They lost Walker to Denver and still dont know about Ahman Green and I doubt Favre will be able to carry these guys on his back.

possibly they're going to win the north yet i imagine the packers are extra acceptable and could come by using. The NFC universal although i imagine is a lengthy shot. There are alot of reliable communities this 365 days in the NFC. I advise come on they beat the eagles by using 4 and westbrook did not play. If Mcnabb may have went for a sneak as a replace of Reid calling 4 operating performs in a row this communique does not be happening.

Weak divison should be cleaned up easily by the LIONS new coaching staff will bring discpline Martz is an offensive genius and maranelli knows how to stop the run the secondary is the major question about the lions
then i would go bears even if grossman is healthy what florida qb has ever been good in the pros its like nebraska good in college stinks in the pros. there d is awesome though big urlacher fan not sure about undersized trouble maker manning jr. then i would go viks and then pack because they trust a cocky colorblind qb who will make a record for most interceptions this year and green bay will stick with him because thats just what they do

The Lions are way overdue and this is their year! A new head coach and no more Joey Sunshine. Packers still think Farve is going to lead them to the promised land and he's just going to lead them to 5 picks per game. Bears have Rex, but only one good WR (Moose) and nothing after that. Vikings will wish they still had Dante. Lions all the way. Tigers will win the WS and Lions will win the SB!

Nobody stands a chance against the Bears D especially with the running game improving, grossman or griese throwing downfield opens up the run and that D wont let in more than 14 points in any game.

Even with considering that Grossman might not be able to withstand a full season, the bears should win this division.

The Vikings will take this division. With a great RB, a great Left guard to protect him, and a new coaching staff.
