I'd go with what she said: Japan. She has made some good points. I would, however, remember some of the past culture of Japan, Korea, and China. I don't think I should only have to walk 10ft behind my husband! Some of that culture may still linger.
Forget Europe and the US as an escape. Sexism has made it's mark. We may try to erase it, but it came--and no one can do anything about it.
Try a place where there isn't many men. I think there must be a country where there is more girls than boys! ;)

It's called separate but equal. That's what TRUE equality means. Now let's take a look around. Look at men...then look at women. Notice something different? hmmm. So you see a physical difference. Did you ever consider that just like there is a physical difference there might just be some other differences too?! Like emotional and intellectual differences. Just like women aren't being sent to the front lines in Iraq to root out terrorists, men aren't having babies (and trust me Thank God for that. I don't know how you women do it). I think we have to stop being so politically correct and open up our eyes and see the wisdom in how both genders were created to perfectly complement the other gender's needs. They strike a beautiful balance to ensure that life forges ahead and that we produce many more generations of wholesome and happy familles. And we could sure use many more happy people!

I've not heard of such a place, and I have to argue that genders are different. I think these differences should be honored as much as we both should honor each other.
I know that the native americans had what is called a matriarchy, where the women had council, control and freedom. Also, I know that it seems to be proven that where women have been afforded more control, there is a better balance and health in economy, morale and opportunities in countries and civilizations. Yea! Women.

There is no world that sexism is not in. There is always going to be some case of it in every place on earth. Just because we and other countries have allowed women to vote and work, that does not mean that there are not some gentleman that said no on the ballet. You will never find it, sorry. Men and woen have both lived with it since we as humans began. I think somewhere inside of all of us, on certain subjects about man and women, have alittle bit of it in each of us.

One of the countries that you would least expect... Japan. Women enjoy the same social, educational, and career goals as men. So much so that more and more they are choosing not to get married and have children...hence Japan has one of the lowest birth rates in the developed world.

I do believe the Scandinavian countries practised gender equality for a long time before we even thought about it.

i decide on to bypass to Minnesota. i imagine this makes the state even extra staggering, although i'd favor to ascertain agencies attempt this on their personal rather of the authorities stepping in.

I'm not sure where it is, but I sure hope that no matter where it is, I hope the women still do the cooking, cleaning, and the laundry.
