My husband & I are attending my cousin's wedding. The wedding is at an expensive resort in Laguna Beach (south of L.A.)... with the reception beginning around 7pm.
I know a tux is traditional attire, but I'm not sure if it is manditory. Considering the wedding is in August (very hot), and Southern California tends to be a little more on the casual side, I'm not sure what he should wear... tux, dark suit & tie, linen suit, trendy dress shirt & slacks???
I'm wearing a full-length, silk chiffon gown from BCBG... so obviously he isn't going to dress too casual.
Any advice? Thanks!

If a tux is out of the question, then a dark suit should be worn. Evening weddings tend to be quite elegant and either a contemporary or classic tux would be perfect. A contemporary tux would probably be more comfortable in a warm climate. A a traditional, non-trendy tailored suit works best for men at such occasions but it might be a bit warmer and uncomfortable compared to a lighter contemporary tux..

For an evening wedding, he should be in a dark (black or navy) suit with a white shirt. If the invitation says "black tie optional," he should wear a tux and you should dress to match.

The later the wedding is the more formal the attire should be. The dark suit sounds like the safest bet.

Have fun and good luck!

He should wear a tan linen & cotton blend pants and shirt, I say blend because it wrinkles less than 100% linen, and looks just as good. Shoes and belt should be a darker tan.

till he has given you different reason to be stricken, i does no longer make this a controversy. There are some occupations the place protection overrides the wearing of any rings. some examples of this are mechanics, electricians, etc. in case you recommend your husband is a chef, then protection may be a controversy. no longer purely does rings harbor germs and airborne dirt and airborne dirt and dust, it quite is undesirable for food provider, yet whilst he grew to become into injured he might desire to threat dropping a finger if the hoop might desire to no longer be bumped off rapidly.
