can i attach my ipod to my amplifier on my hi-fi ?

Yes you can, I've done it. You will need to buy/borrow/steal a lead that you plug into the headphones of the iPod then connect the other end to HiFi

you can buy an rca jack that will allow you to do this on one side there is a headphone jack plug it in to your headphone port on your pod the other end of the jack is rca this you put in to the "IN" on your stereo ive done this with my home cpu

yep - 3.5mm headphone jack (out of iPod) which splits in to standard phono leads easy to get at maplin.co.uk
