I've been to six flags many times and the rides are great and everything but the crowds and wait times are becoming increasingly worse.
I've never been to Dorney Park. Should I take the risk and go to Dorney Park? From the looks of it online I think the roller coasters are better at six flags but if the crowds are better at Dorney Park, I'd rather go there. Has anyone been to both?

ive been to both, and six flags is way better. the long lines actually do serve a purpose. at dorney park, you can do all of the roller coasters back to back in under an hour. trust me i did it, and dont eat anything before or after. the coasters are ok, not great, 6 flags ihas way better rides and stuff to do. eventhough there are longs lines, its ok, make friends with the people around you, figure somthing out. the wait is a part of the ride, the anticipation, part of the thrill. it can be hard when its 90+ degrees outside, but it beats doing all of dorney in under an hour. plus 6 flags is free on weekdays when you bring specially marked coke cans. have fun.

I like Six Flags alot better. There are a lot more big rides at Six Flags. Dorney has very few really fun rides. When I went to Dorney the lines were just as long,if no longer then at Six Flags.

Dorney is like Six Flags' little brother. It doesn't get nearly as much attention, but the rides aren't nearly as good either. If you'd prefer less lines and less thrills, Dorney is for you.

The one big plus of Dorney over Six Flags is that the water park is pretty much right next door to the rides, it is a much more convenient setup than at Six Flags - where to get from one park to the other, you most likely have to get back in the car.

Six Flags Great Adventure's rides are definitely better, but the lines are ridiculous, especially on the weekends. Dorney Park's rides are kinda lame, with only a couple of decent coasters. If you are into the water park thing, Dorney Park (along with Wild Water Kingdom) would be a better bet. But on a pure roller coaster enjoyment basis, it's Great Adventure hands down. I suggest you to go either on a weekday or paying for the ride scheduler.

It's been a long while since I've been to Dorney Park, went once and never cared to go back. I'd stick to Great Adventure!

Doubt the rides are better at Dorney!

Six Flags all the way...Dorney Park's lines are just as long, but no reason to wait in them

Six Flags GA cos it has more thriller and scarier rides. Dorney is mostly a water park and the park in general is kinda boring lol.

I think its always great to try out new parks, but i recently went to six flags great adventure and it is AMAZING. And the lines---let me just say, the day I went (a wednesday) the line for Kingda Ka was 10 min. I think there were no lines because rain was in the weather forecast...but hey, I got lucky. It didn't rain one drop!

Six Flags, all the way. Just make sure to pick a good day.
