People I know said it wasn't even scary. Just bloody and gruesome and disgusting. It's probably worse than texas chainsaw like I imagine. Please give me thorough details. And no, I'm not 9 years old. I'm 15 and I need to know about this.

It starts out like one big porno and then it's about people selling American's to this "hospital". All the doctors there have problems so they could never really become doctors in the first place. The movie is sick. If you're into scary movies, I think you'll like it.

It was in fact much smarter than the Texas Chainsaw massacre. It was in fact barely bloody and disgusting...only dimly shown or suggested. It is about a group of friends backpacking in Europe when they are told of a hostel that has hot easy girls..and well you know how boys are...turns out though that not is all that it seems and you can get ANYTHING if the price is right in this town. You may be too young even at 15 for this one...

It's might make you think which is why many people hate it.

Seeking out the quintessential college experience by backpacking through Europe, two American students befriend an eccentric Icelander and head to a hostel that's said to be brimming with women. But once they arrive, their desires are quelled by the discovery of unimaginable horrors. Quentin Tarantino presents this grisly tale based in part on actual events, when their quest for sex and debauchery takes them to a mysterious hostel in a quiet Eastern European town, the guys find themselves in a world more disturbing that anything they could have imagined. The scenes of torture in this film are absolutely brutal and even fans of conventional horror may find themselves flinching and squirming at times. But just when you begin to think you're watching nothing more than a $4.5 million snuff film, the film changes direction and shifts into high gear. Hostel eschews the modern thriller convention of "the more plot twists, the better" and simply goes right for the jugular and the gut. The film certainly hits both targets, and it doesn't let go until the very end.

The movie sucked! Don't go! I'm a horror freak and Texas Chainsaw was an Oscar compared to Hostel.

no, it's nothing like the texas chainsaw massacre. it's really dumb. yes, it's very gross and disgusting, but that's how horror movies are suppose to be. this one is just pointless, with sex and pretty people.

you see there are these people that get paid a certain amount of money if they can bring an american or a japanese to their compound to kill. these people pay high dollars for this. the idea is interesting, but they don't pursue the idea any further. it's like they got really into making the movie, then decided they hated it the next minute. really disappointing.

that movie is rated R and details can only be given to adults 17 or older. Chainsaw wasn't scary either.

Basically the first half of the movie has lotsa sex, the second half, lotsa gore. Unlike chainsaw, there were lots of implements of gruesomeness, not just one primary weapon.

I've seen Hostel, and what it's mainly about is naked girls. I went to see it with my dad because we both like scary/gross movies, and the whole first half was topless women, naked women, guys having free sex with women. The torture scenes were really not scary or even that gruesome. My dad had to close his eyes (heh) during one part, when a guy has to cut part of a girls face to relieve her pain. (sorry, trying not to spoil it). Mainly what I remember, though, is that it was a naked girl movie and I was very angry they didn't say so in the trailers.

it's a movie where a group of Americans backpacking through Europe go to a youth hostel in Eastern Europe. They get lured in by a bunch of hot sexy eastern european chicks and get taken hostage. The Hostel is in reality a place where you can go and torture people for a fee. Sort of like going to a fantasy camp.

Its about back packers who are in Amsterdam, and they want to get laid so this guy tells them about this Hostel where all the woman are beautiful and they LOVE americans. They get there and its a horny mans paradise apart from the friends start going missing one by one, apparently it was all a trick and this hostel is run by people who kidnap you and sell you to a "hunting" club for humans, depending on your race how much money they make off you. People pay to come in and torture and kill you however they please! its fantastic and its based off a real event. Its my fave movie of ALL time now, i am sadistic so i love blood and torture!!
