Happy belated b day!... ANYWAYS... my advice is that you should think of your favorite character or your favorite thing then go to PARTY CITY by CIRCUIT CITY. And if you go to party city you may be able to find your favorites... JUST LIKE ME, I like bratz so my mom took me to party city, and then i found bratz plates and bratz napkins also all different kinds of bratz things. So that's all the advice that i have for now!!!

Our local zoo has a very reasonable birthday party rate. Cheaper than a theme park, and a little more wholesome.
If you want to do things at home, consider hiring some entertainment. The cheer leaders at our local high school will come and do a cheer camp. There is also a company that does Mad Scientist demonstrations.
There are tons of books on other party ideas for kids. Go to your local book store and leaf through them (you don't even have to buy them). We often did the craft thing, having the kids paint teeshirts, etc. There are also a lot of fun party games out there, such as twister, have a tournament!!
Finally, set a tent in the backyard and have a campout sleepover.

My kids always like to go play miniature golf or ride go-carts for their bdays and their friends loved it too.

An Amusement or Water Park is cool, or if you have a pool, have a pool party. Where I live it's warm enough to go swimming in Sept, but I dunno about wherever you live.
