how many hours long was it? how many of those hours were action (or even suspense) and not drama? there's your answer.
girls like it because it has a touching love story involving a cute guy and a plain gal that any girl could identify with. that doesn't make for a very interesting movie for guys.

Because the movie had a lot to deal with the emotional relationship of a couple called Rose and Jack during the cruise of the Titanic. But I don't know why the guys were complaining. If they were patient, they got to see the special effects scene at the end when the ship blows up and sinks. The movie was for everybody, except for maybe young children.

Well, I'm a girl and I hate it. But the reason guys hate it is there is really no action. It's a slow pace movie. It's a love story. And it has Leonardo Di Caprio.

It's my husband's favorite movie. My dad loves it too. Generally, guys don't like movies that tugs at the heart strings. They don't like to think when watching a movie. The more action, guts, gore, the less thinking they do. I have to drag my husband to chick flicks all the time, but he ends up liking them in the end.

there is a given fact about us guys, we will almost never admit to liking a "chick flick". I for one thought it was a good movie, and I managed to stop weeping long enough at the end to mutter about how I was "surprised" by the ending and we should have stayed home and rented the the Terminator trilogy.

yeah the length was too long like king kong. Horrible editing added tons of time to this movie. Who wants to see an empty room filling up with water?

Its to long without someone dying or a crazy gunfight going on!! Also it takes to long for the girl to get naked lol sorry but its true we are pigs!!

I think it's because it made them want to cry. Guys don't like movies that make them want to cry because then we laugh at them.
