To be honest you are going to need to get some experience. So don't stop. Keep doing what you're doing but before your "publish" anything that will be heard by the public, (ie; your podcasts) take into consideration that you are competing for a global audience. When you record your personal tracks, review them and be brutally honest with your self assessment. Don't just critique your voice and/or your performance, critique the actual recording. If what you've "produced" is not a clean solid track, you're going to appear amatuerish. Start going to some venues that have live bands, check around your local college and meet some players find someone with whom you can collaborate and put some music to your vocals.
Be patient, but don't stop working. You've got a good voice, you've got courage, and you've got a desire to sing. You're making good initial moves, but it's right now that you've got to decide do you really want to do this. If you do, then adjust your frame of mind and become a "student of the game". Seek out teachers, and situations from which you can learn how to be a performer.
Don't misunderstand this, "LEARN HOW TO SING".
Just because you have a decent voice and can emulate the popular singers doesn't mean you know HOW to sing. You sound like you're still young enough to be able to benefit from school, so look into taking a voice/choral class and a class in basic musicianship at your local community college.
A label you can start on your own, what you want to do is learn how to make some music. Above all else don't ever give up! Good Luck!

Im an aspiring producer... The best way to get signed is to not try to get signed but instead have the record labels come to you. It's much better to sell records yourself until you gain the fame. If you do get signed, make sure to read everything real close because the music industry is a dirty game and they just want you for your money.
