Yes, I do think that's true. I agree with rammsteinfan-1 100%. Dementieva won't win a major without working on that serve. She has no clue when she serves, she's all over the place, doesn't know where to stand, the ball toss is not in front of her. Please Elena get a coach to work on this!!! Your groundstrokes are good enough to win, you are quick around the court, and she's in great condition, but 34 double faults going into that match with Sharapova is shameful!!!

Given that she's reached two Major finals, there's a good chance. She has a great all-round game too. However, with that serve, she would need a little luck to actually win a Slam. It really is a liability. Against the likes or Henin-Hardenne or Clijsters, you simply can't give away that many points on your own serve and expect to win.

I think she has quite a long way to go until she is in the category of "best player" - Up and Coming and Potential ar ethe words I would use to describe her this year.
