a lot of people liked chris and probably thought he was safe. when he and kat were standing there in the bottom two that night ryan seacrest said that a lot of people predicted they would be the final two. that's probably what a lot of other people thought as well so they figured why vote for them if they are safe anyway. i think chris's song choice could have hurt him as well. he had a great voice and did a good job with the songs he sang that weren't rock. i think if he broke out of the rock stuff more often he might have gone farther. when you think about the people watching, most of them probably are not into hard rock. in an interview after he was voted off, he was very into himself saying he didn't think he would be voted off becuase he knew people liked him. he jsut happened to get the lowest number of votes. rumors were going around...the phones which they checked and of course that they had to get rid of him because he signed with fuel which he never did. the offer was there but he didn't accept. he will have a successful career.

Well because he didn't get enough votes from America but he should have won. He has an amazing voice, especially a recording voice, he is a true artist and even though he didn't win I think he will be able to get somewhere with that voice and his newfound fame on American Idol

Chris has a good voice, but he seemed to be singing in one category. Not enough common appeal and versatility to be American Idol. Maybe American Heavy Roc Idol.

I don't know, I think it was a scam. He was clearly the best one on there, he should have won. I don't think American Idol wants a serious rocker as their image. Bo Bice lost to stupid Carrie Underwood the year before. Yeah, for some reason, I don't think American Idol likes hard core rockers. Doesn't fit their image.

I think what happened is that he may have been everyone's favorite, but everyone thought he would be safe, so instead they probably voted for their second favorite that week since they thought they might have needed their votes more than Chris. Or, people who like Chris just didn't vote.

I think that the majority of A.I. watchers, do not believe that rock is "good enough". Rock and Roll is the black sheep of music. It has always got a bad rap in the media. I thought he was the best performer, but I KNEW that America would not vote him through. Sadly, I was right.

Because the producers knew he would make them more money if they allowed him to be voted off the show instead of winning and that is what I think to be the truth.

Because people like you did not call enough times to vote for him! you need to set the number on speed dial and keep calling for the entire two hours of voting! like Ryan seacreast always say, If your favorite gets voted off? Its you own fault!

Because America didn't give him enough votes. So obviously he was not Americas favorite. Deal with it, it will be okay he will have a CD in the future.
