I was born a sinner, from the moment my mother conceived me. Apart from God, I can do no good.

There is no good or evil, only nature. Go to any museum and your question will be answered in the form of art. Some would say destruction is a form of art, even beautiful.
I think your question is based on morals, and cannot be answered since every man and every country has different morals.

Interesting question! I heard someone say ounce that mankind was basically evil but with the proclivity for good. Somebody else might think the opposite....that man is basically good with the proclivity for evil. Which ever way you go will likely determine whether your a religious conservative or a religious liberal.
Personally,I believe it can all be traced back to sin. God made Adam good...but Sin (bleeped) everthing up....and we (mankind) have been suffering ever sense.
The apostle Paul put it something like this....."The good I want to do,I don't do...but the bad I don't want to do...this I do..oh wretched man I am,who will deliver me from this body of death?"
If you would like the answer to that question.....google the source I have below......

Mankind contains both good and evil. What I don't get is why so many people believe that the evil is all that matters. We ought to spend less time fearing and repenting of the evil and a lot more time rejoicing about the good.

Man is not evil, but the law of enthropy dominates... if you don't do maintenance, and adjustments, the evil will invade little by little in man as well
