Yes, According to Super Science Magazine Vol. 17 No. 4 it reads: Are any of these objects headed our way?: Yes, many. But they won't strike Earth anytime soon. A comet called MN4 will come within 35,400 km of Earth on April 13, 2029. That's pretty close, especially when you figure that the moon is about 385,000 km from Earth. And the comet is large. It measures about 300 meter across-that's about three times the length of a football field.

The Earth is happily situated in our solar system so that Jupiter captures a lot of errant planetary vagabonds that otherwise might get in our way. But the earth does get hit with regular (geologic) frequency. So yes, one will hit soon. But soon likely will not be in your lifetime.

It could happen tomorrow, or it could happen in a few million years. We just never know; at least not with our current technology. A few years ago a really big one passed within a few hundred thousand miles of Earth, and we didn't know about it until after it passed us up. Odds are that we'll have the technology and the wherewithall to identify it and deal with it by the time it happens.

Everything looks clear for now, although we can't keep track of everyone of those little buggers. Not enough money being spent on it.

Sooner or later one will hit the Earth.

"soon"???
As in what kind of time frame are you asking - geologic (i.e., God time) or human time?

Someday, yes, Earth will be bashed again by some space rock.
it has happened before, it is logical to assume it will happen again.

As to when, well, that is another matter.
In our lifetime?
I hope not - I do not know.
But it makes for some great sci-fi movies, doesn't it?!?
