I'm 14 years old and I've worn briefs all my life. I really want to start wearing boxers, but there isn't any way to prevent my parents from finding out. So, I've got to talk to them about it. However, the situation of discussing your underwear of choice with your parents is kind of awkward. Any suggestions?

As a parent of a fifteen year old boy, you are probably more aware of what your peers are doing from going to school and summer camp. My son asked me to buy him boxer shorts while we were out shopping, saying that all the boys at school wore boxers and that no one wanted to wear "Tighty-whities". He put up such a fuss about it, that he just refused to wear his briefs.
You should probably be aware that underwear preference for men and boys seems to change with every generation. Nearly every man in my generation wears briefs. My son's grandfather and his peers all wore boxer shorts.

I switched when i was ten. All i said was that i wanted boxers instead of briefs. My parents never had a problem with it.
Just tell your parents that you want boxers. It's not that hard.

Next time you are out shopping for clothes just toss some boxers into the cart. If your mom (or dad) says anything just say you want to wear these now. Although personally I would suggest trying out boxerbriefs. Boxers really are not all they are cracked up to be.

next time you go shopping with your mom and she's about to get some briefs just tell her you want some boxers because some kids in the locker room was making fun of you for wearing tighty wightys
