Try those pain patches that stick to the forhead. Some say they are for muscle pain and some headache but they all work about the same and they work really well and there is NO chance of hurting the baby. Also an icy gel wrap around the head can help. Aromatherapy is good - lavender and mint is a good combo for headache. You may be able to help by rubbing her neck and shoulders. Yes tylenol is safe if you must take a pill just don't take aspirin.

First and foremost, you should check with her doctor. There are so many things to take into consideration such as how many months is she, does she have an allergy to anything? Is she having any difficulties in her pregnancy?

Just make a call to the doc. and that should solve your problem. Another tip, you can purchase the book, what to expect when you're expecting, it not only gives you this info, but much more helful tips, especially if she's a first time mom. I got one as a gift and that far exceeded any gift I could've gotten.

Hope she feels better...

Acetaminophen is safe to take as directed on the label, but most other headache medications — such as aspirin and ibuprofen, as well as most prescription migraine drugs — are not recommended for pregnant women. Consult your practitioner about which ones you can take if you're prone to severe migraines. If you're having frequent, debilitating headaches, the benefits of certain medications may outweigh any possible risks to your baby, although other drugs will remain strictly off-limits.

When I was pregnant I was told I could take Tylenol, but not extra strength or high doses. So maybe just 1 pill and 2 if its really bad.

I don't recommend it but Tylenol is ok for prenant women. If the headache is recurring it's a hormonal thing and nothing will work except to lay down and rest no matter how inconvenient. Baby always comes first......

well, don't listen to people on here, even if they say they are a doctor, or know. you need to call her obgyn, and see what they say. I know most medicine you are not to take when pregnant, so, I would call, a doctor. Well, congrats on the baby, and take care of your wife.God Bless. How sweet of you trying to figure it out for her, but call her doc.

It is ok to take Tylenol, either regular or extra strength. Just make sure your doc says it's ok first... you can even ask the receptionist that answers the phone at her ob/gyn. She should be able to tell you if it is ok. Good Luck!
