Read the whole answer please. Homosexuality is only a choice for about 3% of the homosexual population. Just like there is about 3% variety in other sexual variations. Homosexuality is nature's way of controlling the population of future offspring. Technically speaking homosexuals don't reproduce, yes they can with help of some kind, but currently two men or two women cannot produce offspring without outside interference. The numbers say that some 11% of any population will be homosexual. Being homosexual for most 97% is NOT a choice, it is a genetic decision. Homosexuality is more common in overcrowded situations such as the 'hood'. Animals, when placed in overcrowded situations, produce more offspring that are homosexual than in situations where there is not overcrowding. This indicates that it is mother nature's way of controlling future populations to prevent overcrowded situations.

If you are still uneducated enough to think that it is a choice for homosexuals to be homosexuals, ask yourself this question: Would you choose to be someway that would cause you to be ostracized, outcast, demonified and treated worse than an animal? Who, in their right mind, would make that choice??? Only someone who has been abused terribly! Normal people wouldn't make that choice. The science has finally caught up to what we scientists have always suspected, being homosexual is like having blue eyes, brown hair, two arms, it is biologically determined.

I think that most of the homosexuals supporting the gay parade are for the show. The number of men/women who have adopted this life style has increased over the last decade. Rebellious against the status quo, they switch at the right time saying:"every body is doing it" Those, I think are by choice. In fact some have tried it to later say that they do not like it. However, I will not ignore or negate the natural, real effeminate men who are born with the homosexual tendencies. The "choice" group becomes wider as perversion, curiosity, quest for something new, the "so what" attitude, lust and money (it is said that the homo group enjoys higher income) are the basis for infiltration and/or corruption of the society. To answer your last question, I say yes I think anyone could become a homosexual if they choose to because all that is required is a body part but not every one wants to lose their dignity.

Hell no I couldnt become a homo. Dont get me wrong I have nothing against those that chose that lifestyle just saying that I would never choose it. I think that some people choose it and others are born with it. I mean really I am African American and I wa born this way I did not choose to be black so I think that for the most part homosexuals dont choose to be this way they are born that way. But then you have some that just want to experiment etc and then decide that they like to be with the same sex and I think those people are not born that way they chose it. Seems like it is becoming ok or acceptable or even dare I say "in" to be "out".

Hint: You need to watch your grammar before you instruct others.

All of us humans are faced with various situations and choices. These are set before us to make us stronger and teach life lessons. If you do not make the correct choices, you are doomed to return to this same problem/question until you have learned enough to respond correctly. Thereby one grows stronger and wiser. This is the actual purpose of our life on earth.

These choices do not happen in other lifetimes, they come again in our one lifetime. That doesn't give us a lot of "do overs." Sometimes, much is asked of us in life. Not everyone is as strong as they should be. I don't know about you, but I want no excuses made for me. If I could not make the right choice as to sexual orientation, I would give up sex entirely, rather than perpetuate a lifestyle that is not considered by God to be acceptable.

Keep in mind that everyone is faced with choices in all areas of life. For each of us there is a question to be answered that is extremely hard and life changing. No one has it easy. Sometimes we answer wrong. It is no reason to point a finger or look down on our neighbour. It is a good reason to pray for our neighbours.

P.S. If you knew the answer... why did you ask the question??

On whether homosexuality is purely a choice or purely a natural phenomenon, the proverbial jury is still out.

Personally, I believe some people honestly feel they were born that way (straight or gay) and some people honestly feel they chose to be the way they are (straight or gay).

To be or not to be. Well, Homosexuality tendencies are a choice given. I feel, this choice is due to being sexually weak and you have given into that same sex weakness. Homosexuality is not really knowing what pleasures you most. Have you even tried being with a woman or a man? Did it prove benefiting? Or, on the other hand, most Gay and/or lesbian people were raped and found pleasure after wards. What happened to you which has brought us back to your question, was it a choice or a decision?

I believe being homosexual is an ingrained trait. Our birth order sometimes defines this. It is well documented that in families with male siblings only, the younger child often is homosexual; and the same goes for a family with all female children. There are some inconsistancies in this theory however, because you can be born an ONLY child and be homosexual. So, therfore I believe it is a trait we are born with.

I think there is a biological basis for it, but there is also a choice. Just like pediaphiles have an attraction for children doesn't mean they have to act on it. However, when they are castrated, the recidivism rate drops to almost zero - showing that there is a biological basis for pediaphelia.
Now I am not saying that homosexuality is a crime against people like pediaphilia is. I am saying that they are now starting to show that brain patterns are slightly different in those people who sexual attractions fall outside the "norm". Although, what is norm - in ancien Rome, the norm was boys were for pleasure and women were for procreation.
I also think it is a choice, because you don't have to follow your attractions just because you have them.

natural

Lots of people out there state its a choice or a sin or... but look around you people! Many species show signs of homosexuality. I've seen dogs, horses, cats, and so on that are homosexual. It's natural. They didn't hear about it and think to try it. They just do. Its natural!

As for the bible, that all depends on who interprets it. Many of the versions of the bible say "partner".. not man and woman...

Come on people! Too many of you are so brainwashed. Some say do this, so you do. Another says this is wrong, so you believe them.

We are all people. We are all the same. Size, race, sexual orientation, religion, hair color, zits, moles, freckles, whatever. We are people. That's it!
