The feminist movement has had its greatest effect on the US and UK, (or the western world). Though feminism has tried, without rest, to influence the remaining world, it has done so to a much lesser effect. Asia, the middle-east, and the Hispanic culture, are still quite machismo.

Even some of these nations that have had female leaders have only had so for political correctness, and for the sake of experience. If one visits these same countries, they are still very masculine. Most of these nations are still 'old-fashioned'. They are still family oriented. They are still very religious. Their cultures of old are still dominant. The man still earns the money. The women are still considered the nurturers, and home-keepers. Much of this was shown durring the World Cup. It was still the men being cheered by men and women.

That being said, is immigration restoring the US's & UK's masculinity? How will immigration effect feminism in the near and distant future?

If so, is this effect a good thing?

BrainiAcademiac, do imagrints want to racism in the US & UK? Do imagrints want the violence? Immagrints do not always want everything in the country they are entering. Mostly, they went the better financial opportunity.

I think that men are the silent majority. Yes, I think so, women are getting too big for their britches and expecting us to accommodate their every whim. Ain't gonna happen if I have any sayso.

Honestly, man_id_unkown, if you hate the fact that USA women are losing their only jobs, nuturers and homekeepers, move to one of the "masculine" countries you're ranting about.

Now, men are not becoming weaker. Feminism was made to make women stronger and more empowered not men weaker. You always talk of how women are being killed, abused, and raped. That doesn't sound weak to me, it sounds like brute force.

You need to view the fact that people coming TO a country WANT what is THERE! So NO, I would have to say immigration is NOT going to MACHO-ize the US--the guys who move here WANT to be around FEMININE WOMEN who KNOW what they WANT! ;)

I say, good for THEM for WISING UP! ;)

Best wishes!
